  • Out on water near Bolton Point, looking north toward Warners Bay. Not a fish to be found, at least the view was good.

A panoramic view across Lake Macquarie, looking north toward Eleebana with a boat's bow in the foreground and cloudy skies above.

  • Heading up the Hunter River toward the Stockton Bridge.

A boat is facing a long bridge spanning across a body of water under a mostly cloudy sky.

  • Two riding lawn mowers are parked on a well-maintained sports field under a partly cloudy sky.

  • 🎥 Watched: [The Killing Game](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0327785/)

    > When a hitman is diagnosed with a terminal illness, he decides to take a hit out on himself. But when the very hitmen he hired also target his ex-girlfriend, he must fend off an army of assassin colleagues.

Not a bad movie, full of all the cliches you’d expect from the genre, kind of a fun “John Wick” vibe.

  • 🎥 Watching: [MaXXXine](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt22048412/)

    > In 1980s Hollywood adult film star and aspiring actress Maxine Minx finally gets her big break. But as a mysterious killer stalks the starlets of Hollywood, a trail of blood threatens to reveal her sinister past.

There’s a certain weirdness and awkwardness that Mia Goth brings to her roles that works quite well for the characters she tends plays.

  • 🎥 Watching: [Sicario](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3397884/)

    > An idealistic FBI agent is enlisted by a government task force to aid in the escalating war against drugs at the border area between the U.S. and Mexico.

  • I think I maybe expect too much from other people. Hard not to when you both signed up to and agreed upon the same narrative. Frustrating.

  • I am very unsure about a whole raft of things going on in the world at the moment, not just the whole world, but also my own world. Challenges all around, some people are rising to the battle, others just tossing the towel in.

    Where to next, who knows…

  • Hello Monday, what have you got in store for me?
