  • 🔗 WordPress.org bans WP Engine, blocks it from accessing its resources

    > WordPress drama went up another notch on Wednesday after WordPress.org, the open-source web hosting software, banned hosting provider WP Engine from accessing its resources.

    Well that escalated rapidly!

You’d hate to be a WP Engine customer at the moment, caught in the middle of the drama, not being able to auto-update plugins, wondering whether to move to a different host, or even a different platform!

This will get worse before it gets better and I’m not confident WordPress or WP Engine will make smart decisions here.

  • 📺 Watched: What’s Next? The Future with Bill Gates

📺 Watched What’s Next? The Future with Bill Gates

Gates tackles far-reaching topics from artificial intelligence to income inequality with curiosity and an open mind.

Quite an interesting doco, some divisive subjects and alternate points of view from both sides. Definitely worth watching if you’re interested in near future technologies.

  • 📺 Watched [Twilight of the Gods](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10625492/)

    > An animated series inspired by Norse Mythology. The Twilight of the Gods refers to events that led to the destruction of Midgard and Asgard, then the death of most of the Æsir and Vanir gods in an ultimate battle against evil, the forces of nature and the Giants.

Not a bad take on some familiar stories and characters.

  • Green Day in Sydney

Green Day in Sydney for $500 – is dynamic pricing reserving live music for the rich?

Showing my age here, and then some, when I first saw Green Day way back in about 1996 at the Hordern Pavilion I paid about $25 for the ticket!

  • 🎥 Watched: Rebel Ridge

Everyone, except Don Johnson, mumble their lines throughout the entire movie! 🤯

An ex-Marine grapples his way through a web of small-town corruption when an attempt to post bail for his cousin escalates into a violent standoff with the local police chief.

    Rebel Ridge on IMDB.

  • Sea Scallops from 8 at Trinity

Sea Scallops with celeriac, pine nuts, blackcurrants, lemon, brown butter, parsley oil & chives (gf) from 8 at Trinity.

    Super darn tasty!

  • 🎥 Watched: Boy Kills World

I love H. Jon Benjamin doing the voice of boy!

A fever dream action film that follows Boy, a deaf person with a vibrant imagination. When his family is murdered, he is trained by a mysterious shaman to repress his childish imagination and become an instrument of death.

    Boy Kills World on IMDB.
