The Who announce full Australian tour

the-who.jpgWishes do come true. Following the announcement that The Who will close the 2009 Melbourne Grand Prix, national dates have been delivered. This will be the first full Australian tour for the band since 1968.

Joining Pete Townsend and Roger Daltrey will be drummer Zac Starkey (Ringo Starr’s son), bassist Pino Palladino, keyboardist John “Rabbit” Bundrick and guitarist Simon Townshend, Pete’s brother.

Supports will be Counting Crowes and Dallas Crane.

March 24 – Brisbane Entertainment Centre
March 26 – Adelaide Entertainment Centre
March 29 – 2009 Formula 1™ ING Australian Grand Prix, Melbourne (On sale now – The Who & Dallas Crane only)
March 31 – Acer Arena, Sydney
April 4 – Members Equity Stadium, Perth
