Some Monday mornings…

Some Monday mornings I just don’t know where to start. There’s so many pieces of work to get done but if I haven’t made a list of what to do first I invariably sit around trying to work out where to begin. Today is one of those days.

Ok, I’m going to make a list now of what needs to get done, let’s see if it works.
  • download and edit video camera footage
  • download and edit photos
  • write blog post about May’s blog earnings
  • start to write ‘web celeb’ article
  • upload latest recipe inc. photos
  • add social media buttons / widgets to blog theme
  • add advertising back into blog

Let’s see what I can actually get done today.

Cannon PC EX series

ex-series-head.jpgI saw this popup on Engadget earlier today and figured it was worth a re-post as it’s pretty damn cool looking and even though it does run Vista, and you all know how much I’m hating on Vista, I’d kind of like it at my house now.

For those of you who are a bit ‘non-tech’ like my old man, essentially this guy will replace your dvd player, your hard drive recorder, and it’ll even manage all your media, ie. mp3, video, etc. plus I think you can even load it up like a normal PC, get yourself a wireless keyboard and mouse and you’ve got a pretty awesome computer on top of a pretty solid home media system.

The price however is a little scary! RRP of around $5900 USD, so expect it to cost 10k by the time it lands in Australia. For that price I can buy stick an Apple TV in every room in my house along with a Drobo to handle the extra storage.

Anyway, if I didn’t scare you off with the price check out the full specs on Cannon’s website.

Blog changes continued…

So far so good, managed to the basics sorted for the single page setup. Still have a load of things to get done, but I think I’m well on the way.

The work list is as follows;

  • new header
  • add RSS email subscription box
  • style the sidebar
  • add in social network elements to sidebar
  • page background image

And thats about it, well at least that’s what’s obvious to me but I’m sure there will be little pieces of CSS that need to be tweaked or whatever.

Anyway, it’s lunch time here and I think I’m going to head down to the driving range to hit a few golf balls. Yesterday I had a revelation with my swing technique, today I need to repeat that performance to prove it wasn’t a fluke. Fingers crossed.
