Maternity photography, part 2!
It seems there has been quite a few ‘Part 2s’ around here lately, why mess up the vibe by calling this blog something else?
So a few month’s back I did a photo shoot with some friends who were having a baby, well long story short the baby’s been born and we had a follow up shoot. Finally, my fault entirely, I’ve finished editing up their photos so I figured I would post a load here for you to peruse.
Mathew Packer Photography update
Over the weekend, between scanning film, I also managed to get a load of updates done on my Mathew Packer Photography website.
About a month or so ago I scrapped the Wordpress installation in favour of Pixel Post which I found a lot easier to use just as a photography website, I didn’t want to blog with it or anything else like that. So finally after just using one of the default themes for the past month I finally pulled my finger out and customised it to display what I wanted.

As you can see from the above screen capture I wanted to display a single photo on the front page, and I didn’t want to stuff around with fancy graphics and logos, I wanted the photos to speak for themselves. I think I’ve achieved that.
While you can click on the photo on the front page and begin to move backwards through my archive, based on date uploaded, you can also ‘Browse By Genre’ which gives you the following display with a drop down menu.

And last but not least is the Biography page, there’s not a lot of information on there at the moment but I’ll have it completed tonight or tomorrow, and if time allows I’ll even throw up a mug shot of myself on there.

So as you can see, it’s a very simple setup with a really simple interface, but I feel like it represents my photography in a much better light than previously.
If you want to go check it all out you can do so at either www.mathewpackerphotography.com or www.mpimagery.com
Cheers, Matt
I swear!
I swear that I’ll get back into the swing of blogging, it’s just that I’m so flatout at the moment with work, launching the new Pain Gone product, and doing the new website development for I’m With The Band.
I was actually planning on writing a few articles on Saturday, I got all my RSS subscriptions out of the way and caught up on a few pieces of work stuff that needed to be done and I sat down at my desk and just as I finished typing the first sentence my phone rang……it was my tattooist, Darren from Diabolik in Newcastle, and he told me he had a cancellation and did I want a session this afternoon. I said yes!
Most of Saturday afternoon I spent in Diabolik in the chair, under the needle. We started work on my right sleeve and got most of the outline out of the way, we also got the colour into the diamond on my left forearm. All in all I was in the shop for 6 hours, 3 of them were working on the design and 3 under the needle. I’ll post some photos later on when I get home.
Saturday night was a friends wedding party at the Prince of Wales in Merewether, Newcastle. There was a whole bunch of friends there that I hadn’t seen in years, it was good to catch up with everyone.
Sunday I was a bit tired from getting in late the previous night so I was off to a slow start to the day. Mid morning I decided to do the yard work, mowing and edging and that fun stuff. Sunday afternoon I actually fell asleep on the lounge..hah.
Anyway, it’s Monday morning now and I’m at work so I guess I should be working!
Catch you later on, Matt
PS. The first shipment of Pain Gone pens arrived this morning, we’ll be selling them via an online store at Targeted Pain Relief once we get the store online in a couple of days.
