Well this weekend is a long weekend, apparently it’s for the Queens Birthday but that’s a whole other debate, and I’m really looking forward to having the time off. I’ve got so much to do around the house, around my blog, and well just around every where. It’s one of the advantages of having a broad range of interests,... (more...)
Almost 12 months ago it started raining, it rained and rained and rained. Then the wind started, and it blew and blew. It rained so much and blew so hard that the streets filled with water because all the drains were blocked. Then a dirty great big ship landed on one of the city beaches and good times were had by all. (note the sarcasm) Well yesterday... (more...)

To really capture your audience and to get them to relate to you more I believe it is crucial to have a few key things on your blog / website. One of the most crucial ones is the ‘About‘ page. We met on myspace (via mutual friends), we then met again at a BBQ I had at my house (I put some ice down the back of her shirt), we then met again at the Cambridge Hotel on a Wednesday night and I gave her a lift home and put my ‘moves’ on her…..and... I’ve been a member of RedBubble for a little over a year and even though I’ve not had a large number of images up on my account for sale I’ve still actually managed to sell a couple of prints. I’ve done zero pr work, and hadn’t even blogged about it, but someone somewhere found a few images to their liking and have probably... (more...)
Over the weekend I bought a new film scanner, the Canon 8800f. It’s pretty awesome so far and to give it a test I dug through the cupboards at home and into my ‘archive’ of film negatives, slides, and medium format positives and negatives, and started scanning a bunch of stuff into Aperture. I was pretty happy with the quality of the... (more...)
Over the weekend, between scanning film, I also managed to get a load of updates done on my Mathew Packer Photography website. About a month or so ago I scrapped the Wordpress installation in favour of Pixel Post which I found a lot easier to use just as a photography website, I didn’t want to blog with it or anything else like that. So finally... (more...)
