Photo Retouching

I

‘ve been playing around with some photo retouching tutorials trying to learn a bit more stuff, improve my technique, etc.

Here’s a couple of before and after photos from an old shoot with a model from Model Mayhem, April. Basically I’ve done some skin improvements, a little bit of digital makeup, and a little bit of contouring to enhance each of the girls facial features.

I’m fairly happy with the results at this stage. I think I’ve improved the photos without going overboard and ending up with that ridiculous ‘glamour glow’ or the whole Miami model look that seems to be popular with the photochoppers at the moment. The other reason I’m happy with these results is that everything that I’ve done could’ve also been done by a makeup artist.

Anyway, what do you think?

I like it man…need to try learn a few things myself

The before/afters aren’t drastic, but they shouldn’t be :)

Thanks Dan

I actually had a makeup artist on this shoot so a lot of the ‘retouching’ was done by her and her various makeup bits and pieces.

On one of the other shoots recently I didn’t have the luxury of an MUA so the before and afters are a bit more dramatic than with these ones.
