This night was undoubtible the most populated the Cambridge has been in ages! With presale tickets being mercilessly snapped up early by punters and door sales devoured within fifteen minutes, it is no wonder an extra fifty tickets were put up to help satisfy the appetites of the hungry audience. With such a mass of excited, anxious and energized people, everyone knew they were in for a big night.
First to take to the stage was local talent, Fictions. Now, what can be said about these guys apart from, WOW! Lead singer, Cameron’s, charismatic, ‘Jagger-meets-Mercury’ stage appeal immediately drew in the crowd, demanding the attention of the hardcore fans of the headlining act and had even the smoker’s from outside turning their heads to watch.
The pop/rock four piece of Cameron, Dean, Liam and Tom performed each of their songs flawlessly, with notable crowd favourite and radio worthy, ‘How Long Is Forever’, resulting in people flocking to the stage to sing along. Humouress crowd interaction, undeniable professional musicianship, with enough zest left to climb across the barriers amongst the audience. They did it all! Although Fictions were left with only a short set, they created the fun and lively atmosphere which fed the punters with enthusiasm and hypoeractivness, anxious and salivating for the night was still to unfold.
The second band of the night was PromoMofo. Now, it is hard to describe exactly what these guys were like. Of course the guys knew how to do their thing on stage, but there seemed to be something missing. Amidst the entire room still powering along in a sea of great vibes and good times, there was a strange 90s Vanilla Ice feel to some of their material. It still sounded good but something was amiss. Either way, the guys kept the energy flowing as they dominated their set and the crowd once again.
Final band of the night was headliners Grafton Primary, starting off the first leg of their tour. There was no question why these guys were the headliners, with their blend of electronic/dance music emmulating the new age radio sound, the band had everyone in the room eating out of the palm of their hands. Bands members Josh, Robbie and Ben along with their Potbeleez meets The Galvatrons style of music had everybody in the room moving as one as they unleashed their androgynistic , sexy and enigmatic stage show effortlessly and proficiently.
After the show, the guys were met with roars for an encore, to which they happily answered. Once blowing the crowd away for a second time, the band was met with chants for a second encore, only this time had to let the crowd go hungry as there was much travelling to be done on the road to their next show. This was without a doubt the best night the Cambridge has seen in a long time. The atmosphere was insurmountable and the talent of these amazing artists just kept on coming. These guys have definitely set new standards for the Cambridge.

In every show, singing will never be outdated. Same thing in traveling, we need simple ways to complete the system in a jiffy. By the way, a singer should anticipate audience participation to achieved an outburst of encore.
