German MTV and me... Auletta

Currently I’m over in Germany, and well the television that I can understand is quite limited. Apart from CNN and BBC News, the only other television channel that I can even remotely understand is MTV Germany. About half of their programming is in English and consists of the standard MTV fare, ie. Rock of Love, Viva La Bam, Nitro Circus, etc. as well as a selection of American and British music videos, the other half are German music videos.

While I can’t understand what they’re actually singing, I can get a sense of what the song is about and whether it has a good tune or not. So here you go, my favourite German music videos…as seen on MTV.de

The first one is possibly a German version of Placebo… Selig with the song Wir werden uns wiedersehen

Next up is Die Ärzte with Lasse reden. This one gets bonus points for the dancing.

And my favourite is Auletta with Ein Engel Kein Koenig, this is a very catchy track..a little Brit Pop influenced maybe.

So what do you think, anything catch your fancy there?

Yeah Mat, I can see why you like the first video, and it has nothing to do with the music. LOL

haha.. yeh it was a little bit like that at first, but the song is quite interesting still…just not quite as much.

There's a couple of other songs I've heard since I posted this blog, so I'll probably have to update the list as soon as I can find the videos to link..
