t was ridiculously hot yesterday in my part of Newcastle. At one stage the thermometer was showing 41.8 degrees C. That’s just insanely hot for this time of year, and this close to the coastline….and it was apparently only supposed to get to around 34 degrees.
The only good thing about temps like that is that we’ll normally get a big storm cell roll through afterward, and last night we got a cracker of a storm through. While it didn’t last long, it was certainly pretty intense.
Today is supposed to be 34 again, lets see if they get it right this time…..and tomorrow, well tomorrow they’re predicting 40 degrees for Newcastle. Man is it going to be a hot one!

Was a corker of a day heat wise but the show that was put on last night made it all worth while. The lightning up here in Maitland lasted a few hours and was the best by far I have seen in a long long while. Massive hit after hit after hit. Awesome. Kicking myself for not getting the camera out and chasing it!

Was looking through the Newcastle Flickr pool and there’s plenty of good shots down at Redhead Beach, so I don’t feel so bad about not documenting it..lolz..
