And another done, Mathew Packer Photography
Managed to finish off another website today, seems to be the flavour of the week. I wanted a really clean, uncluttered setup for my portfolio and I think I’ve achieved it with the new Mathew Packer Photography website.
Let me know what you think.
Spending most of the weekend in the studio, Cath’s away so I’m all on my lonesome. If you’re in Newcastle and you fancy a spot of modeling then leave me a comment.
Have a good weekend.

I’m With The Band get’s a redesign…again

Had a bit of time on my hands this afternoon so I decided to give I’m With The Band a bit of a refresh, still got a couple of little things to tidy up but pretty happy with how it’s looking.
PS. If you’re using IE 6 it wont look like this image, sorry you’ll need to update to something modern.
MPM Records - coming very soon!
Those who read my blog here on a daily basis will have seen the teaser image I posted last week when I had a head ache, well it wouldn’t have taken a brain surgeon to work out what it was all about but I figured I would fill you in on all the details anyway.
Recently I was catching up with a mate and he was telling me how hard a time he was having trying to sort out the distribution of his band’s new CD. After some thinking, and a little bit of a business plan, and a few emails to contacts I have in the industry, I decided to start my own record label which will forever be known as MPM Records.
The initial launch of MPM Records will happen either late this week or early next week, and will be hotly followed by the names of the first couple of bands that I’ve signed. At this point in time it’s only being setup as a distribution label, but hopefully if all goes well it will grow to the size where it becomes both a recording and distro label.
Currently I’m talking with 5 bands from Newcastle who I would like to sign to my label and so far they’re all really keen. We’ve still got a few things to finalise on the contracts, mostly to do with how much management and promotion the bands actually need vs. royalty returns, but hopefully I will be announcing the names of the first couple of bands next week some time.
Anyway, this is looking like a really fun project and hopefully it will help kickstart the careers of these bands and show the world that there’s more than just silverchair in Newcastle.
Oh, the website should also be live later this week and once it is I’ll post the links here.
