Well it’s New Years Eve in Australia now, and what better time than now to do a blogging wrap up for the year.

This is the first year where I’ve put a proper effort into this blog, we’ve seen countless theme changes (and there will probably be another one later today), and countless changes in focus.

It’s been a year where I’ve struggled to find my voice on occasion, where I’ve tried to be like every other blogger and jump on the ‘make money online’ band wagon. Bar that, it’s not me, it’s not what I’m about, and fortunately I worked that out this year for myself and since that day the traffic and subscriber numbers have been building solidly.

Enough of the blah blah blah stuff, here’s a bunch of highlights from my blog this year.

Top 10 most viewed articles for 2008

  1. Prosciutto Wrapped Scallops Recipe
  2. Fetuccini Carbonara Recipe
  3. Advice for bands starting out – Part 2
  4. Teriyaki Chicken Recipe
  5. How To: Install a 3G USB modem on EeePC
  6. Honey Soy Chicken Wings Recipe
  7. Chicken & Vegetable Lasagne Recipe
  8. Satay Chicken Recipe
  9. Sorry, an error has occured.
  10. Canon Photo5 Competition – what’s in the box!

My favourite 3 articles for 2008

  1. My Blushing Bride (blogged from my iPhone, about 15 minutes after getting married)
  2. Exploring Henning Island (also known as the shipwrecked on our honeymoon blog)
  3. Cath and Mat – The Wedding CD

So there you go, quite an array of articles there. Definitely cool to see my recipe blogs ranking so highly and bringing in so much traffic, just goes to show it’s good to differentiate yourself form the pack.

Here’s hoping that you have a great New Years Eve, and an awesome 2009! Catch you next year!
