★ Aperture 3, first impressions

I

t’s awesome, and I think Apple will win a lot of people back from Lightroom with this latest version.

My only problem is that about $300 worth of Aperture plugins just became obsolete for me….luckily they haven’t added ‘film grain’ into their editing tool set yet, or it would be closing in on $400 worth of obsolescence.

Have they solved the file management issue.

Lightroom’s method of leaving the RAWs intact and acting “over the top” – wherever they are – is a far better approach imho.

What file management issue? I’ve never had any dramas with Aperture, apart from having to wait quite long some times for RAW updates.

And the thing about leaving the RAWs intact and editing over the top, Aperture has done that all along as well…..so basically they’re pretty much the same.
