Gone away, back soon

The wifey and I have gone away for the weekend, it’s her sister’s engagement party this afternoon so we’ve jumped in the car and headed up to Bourke for the weekend. Bourke is a small country town in north west New South Wales, and is about 8-9 hours drive from where we live in Newcastle.

It’s been a while since we’ve done a road trip, we normally fly as it’s quicker and cheaper most of the time, so it should be a bit of fun. I’ve been burning a bunch of CDs to take with us, we’ve got all our road trip snacks packed, I’ve got most of my camera gear with me to get some shots of the scenery, and we’ve even got the video camera in the car so Cath can do a bit of a diary.

Anyway, the next couple of days I’ll have minimal internet access so there may not be a lot happening around here but never fear I’ll have a tonne of photos and what-not to publish when we get back.
